LSL has strengthened its conveyancing operation with the acquisition of a property search firm.

The parent company of Reeds Rains and Your Move purchased the Huddersfield-based National Search Service (NSS).

LSL is describing the acquisition as “a small bolt-on” to its existing conveyancing proposition, provided by Homefast.

Strengthens

The move “further strengthens LSL’s position as a leading estate agency franchisor – underlining its commitment to delivering excellent service and reducing transaction times for customers”, it says.

A family-owned business founded in 2004, NSS has built a reputation as a trusted provider of property searches to the legal profession, both directly and through a franchising model, LSL says.

Partner

It is partner to some of the country’s largest law firms and some estate agents, including Paul Carr in the West Midlands, and is regulated by the PCCB (the Property Codes Compliance Board).

The founders will remain with the business to support a smooth transition.

“NSS offers a regulated, compliant, and widely accepted property search service. It is recognised as a trusted partner for conveyancing firms and estate agents,” LSL says.

This acquisition will enhance the support we offer to our franchise partners and clients.”

Paul Hardy, MD at LSL Estate Agency Franchising (main picture), says: “We are pleased to welcome NSS into the LSL Group.

“Their reputation for quality and compliance aligns perfectly with our values, and this acquisition will enhance the support we offer to our franchise partners and clients across England and Wales.”

LSL has 62 estate agency franchisees operating in 310 territories, making it one of the biggest providers of franchise services in the UK.
